La petite amie d’un jeune homme a disparu sans laisser un mot. Confus, il tente de la retrouver au temple qu’elle a mentionné le jour précédant sa disparition. Une fois là-bas, il rencontre un homme qui vend de l’eau fraiche et une bergère. En discutant avec eux de choses banales, il comprend peu à peu pourquoi son amie est partie.
