La mano azul describe el proceso creativo del pintor Mathieu Sodore, que reside en Lisboa, mientras realiza une serie de cuadros de gran formato. Paralelamente la película muestra cómo el pintor nunca deja de sentirse habitado por su obra en gestación, incluso en los momentos de pausa de su vida cotidiana. Mientras tanto su voz nos propone una reflexión sobre su trayectoria artística, sobre la pintura y un acercamiento a lo que es el arte del retrato.
The Blue Hand describes the creative process of an artist who lives in Lisbon when he is creating a series of big pictures, The Silent Music of the Flamenco Singer, inspired in types of flamenco songs which partially show faces. The objective is to try to capture his feelings, thoughts, doubts and impulses from the first line on the white canvas until he signs his work.
