La cinta presenta a Don Zoilo Cajigas, tallador de santos de madera. En la misma se muestra el valor espiritual y la necesidad que motiva la elaboración de esta artesanía. En la música de fondo se puede escuchar: “Alleluia” de Randall Thompson; “Adoramos te Christie” de Palestrina; “Angus Dei” de Francis Pulenc; “Kyrie Eleison Folklor Puerto Rico” y “Jesucristo, Tù Solo Rescate” de Augusto Rodríguez; “Contigo Santa Martìa” de Alfonso X, el Sabio; y “Jenebrae Factae Sunt” de Palestrina. La cinta recibe una mención especial en el Festival de Venecia de 1956 y en el mismo año participa en el Festival de Cine de Luxemburgo.
