The legend of the Namejs Ring is a story that takes place in the 13th Century in Semigallia, where the young Namejs (Edvin Endre) becomes the new king after the death of his regent Viesturs (Egons Dombrovskis). Someone else though had fought and won the king's ring and the right to govern this rich and important place.
Norte da Europa, século VIII. O rei de uma das últimas tribos pagãs restantes, situada perto do mar Báltico, dá os seus últimos suspiros. Minutos antes de morrer, o soberano surpreende a todos ao deixar o seu reinado para Namejs, um sobrinho pouco conhecido. Agora, o jovem precisa assumir a árdua missão de proteger sua tribo das eminentes cruzadas que ameaçam suas vidas, para isso, terá que reunir toda sua força e coragem.

Il crociato Max von Buxhoveden vuole distruggere le credenze pagane dei popoli del nord approfittando del fatto che il vecchio regnante delle ultime terre pagane libere si trova sul letto di morte e senza un erede al trono. La resa sembra cosa fatta quando in punto di morte il re cede iil suo anello, simbolo del potere, al nipote Namejs cresciuto tra i cristiani.
