과거로부터 도망치기 위해 동반자살을 꿈꾸며 미국에 온 남자와 여자. 둘은 차를 빌려 LA에서 유타주로 함께 여행을 떠난다. 사막을 건너는 여행을 하면서 조금씩 마음의 문을 여는 그들은 죽음 대신 삶의 가능성을 엿보게 된다.
