Jeff Daniels is an American actor who rose to prominence in 1983, in the film "Terms of Endearment." He has exercised both his comedy ad drama skills in movies like "Dumb and Dumber," "The Hours," and "Good Night, and Good Luck." He starred in Aaron Sorkin's TV series for HBO called "The Newsroom" as well.
