Barbie Forteza

Barbie Forteza’s journey in the entertainment industry has been remarkable. Since her acting debut in 2009 with the Philippine adaptation of the K-Drama series “Stairway to Heaven,” she has matured in her approach to acquiring roles. Rather than being aggressively competitive, she now takes a more relaxed stance, believing that what’s meant for her will come her way. However, there’s a catch—sometimes she wants to escape the constant camera attention during vacations, much to the chagrin of her boyfriend, Jak. Despite the non-stop hustle, Barbie has made her mark. From “Stairway to Heaven,” she continued to star in high-rating GMA series like “Pilyang Kerubin,” “Tween Hearts,” “Meant to Be,” and “Inday Will Always Love You.” Recently, she wrapped up “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” where she acted alongside Julie Anne San Jose, David Licauco, and Dennis Trillo. But her work extends beyond TV; she has received praise for her performances in independent films such as “Tuos,” “Puntod,” “Laut,” and “Mariquina,” earning awards for her talent. Even amidst the challenges of her generation, Barbie stands out, proving her work ethic and range.
