Die Deutsch-Französische Einsatzeinheit "Daniel Nivel", kurz DFEE genannt, ist einzigartig in Europa. Ein Bundespolizist und ein Gendarm bilden jeweils ein Duo, genannt "Binom". Durch ihr Fachwissen und ihre Sprachkompetenz helfen sie als Verbindungsteams bei Einsätzen in beiden Ländern.
L'UOFA, l’unité opérationnelle franco-allemande baptisée "Daniel Nivel", est inédite en Europe. En associant la gendarmerie nationale et la police fédérale allemande au niveau de la frontière entre les deux pays, la France et l’Allemagne intensifient constamment leur coopération en matière de sécurité et de défense européennes.

L'UOFA, unità operativa franco-tedesca di polizia - ribattezzata 'Daniel Nivel' in onore del suo "padrino", un poliziotto gravemente ferito durante alcuni scontri a Lens durante i Mondiali del 1998 - è un esempio unico di cooperazione per la sicurezza in Europa. Essa riunisce infatti la gendarmeria francese e la polizia federale tedesca al confine tra i due Paesi.
