Bogus, a mischievous little gremlin from Bogusland, discovers a way into Tommy’s house through a mirror. Fascinated by the strange human world around him, Bogus begins exploring the house and quickly gets himself into trouble, while Tommy tries to figure out just who—or what—this tiny visitor is.
Bogus heads to the beach with Tommy and gets himself into trouble when he encounters a group of troublesome beachgoers. His attempts to enjoy a relaxing day in the sun quickly turn into a series of chaotic seaside adventures.
Bogus has trouble getting to sleep and discovers that staying awake all night can lead to some very strange adventures. As exhaustion catches up with him, he gets caught in a series of increasingly chaotic situations before finally learning that a good night's sleep is the best cure.
Tommy’s class visits a natural history museum, with Bogus secretly tagging along in Tommy’s backpack. While exploring the exhibits, Bogus discovers an ancient Egyptian scarab that can bring objects to life and gets caught up in a battle with Ratty.
Bogus gets caught up in the excitement of filmmaking when a movie crew arrives to shoot a picture. He sneaks onto the set and ends up causing chaos, interfering with the production and turning the filming into an adventure of his own.
Tommy goes with his father to the Olympic qualifying trials, with Bogus secretly tagging along inside Tommy’s camera bag. Once there, Bogus causes trouble by interfering with the athletes as they prepare for their events, disrupting one competitor after another.
Bogus ventures inside Tommy’s computer and finds himself in a strange digital world. When a group of Meteor Goons escapes from the computer and begins causing trouble in Tommy’s house, Bogus must team up with his friends to stop the intruders and send them back where they came from.
Bogus and Tommy visit a bookstore in search of something good to read. Bogus wanders off and discovers a book about bugs, but when he opens it, two fierce worms come to life and chase him through the pages. The chase leads them into a mad scientist’s laboratory, where the worms are in danger of being dissected.
Bogus discovers a video camera and decides to make his own movie. As he plays around with the equipment, he gets caught up in a series of wild adventures, turning an ordinary video shoot into a totally bogus production.
Bogus comes to the aid of Rapunzel after Ratty and Mole kidnap her and take her into a science-fiction book. Bogus recruits Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, Humpty Dumpty and Brattus to help him rescue her.
Bogus leaves home and sets off on an adventure, but soon discovers that being away from home isn't as easy as he imagined. His journey leads him into a series of mishaps and dangerous situations before he realizes that there's no place like home.
