SNSのトラブルが後を絶たない。警視庁は、世論の声に応えるべく試験的に専門の対策室「警視庁指殺人対策室」（通称「指対（ゆびたい）」）を新設した。SNSの情報を分析し捜査に役立てるとともに、誹謗・中傷の撲滅を目指し市民からの相談に乗る――そんな理念を掲げつつ、実際には世間に対するポーズとしの部署新設であり、集められたメンバーは、万丞渉（香取慎吾）をはじめ、出世コースから外れたクセモノばかり。 そんなある日、一人の中年女性が対策室を訪ねてきた。先日、一人暮らしをしていた娘が自殺したのだが、警察は「事件性なし」として早々に捜査を打ち切っていた。だが、ファッションモデルである娘がネット上で激しい誹謗中傷に遭っていたことを知り、娘を死に追いやった人たちを捕まえてほしいと依頼。「指対」（ゆびたい）の捜査が始まる…！
