バブル経済全盛期の大阪を舞台に、過熱するマネーゲームに狂奔する人々の悲喜こもごもを描く人間ドラマ。バブル経済に巻き込まれていく人間の奥底にあるものを、ドラマならではの方法で描く。社会派的な要素よりも、あくまで“その時代に人々がどうかかわっていったか”に重点が置かれている。脚本は、数々のヒット作を生み出してきた名脚本家・鎌田敏夫が手がけ、明るく人間味あふれる物語になっている。それぞれ理由は違うものの、普通の人々がバブルの海にはまり込んでいく姿が、当時の世相を伝えていてリアル。
