編集者の泉京香は、カフェで岸辺露伴と打合せ中、担当する新人漫画家・西恩ミカが１００万部の大ヒットだと得意気に話す。ところが露伴から「何かがおかしい」と批判され、席を立ってしまう。実は兄の奏士と電話で打ち合わせするだけで、ミカとは会ったことすらなく、どうやって漫画を描ているのか全く知らなかった。不安に駆られ西恩邸へ赴くが、現れたミカは話しかけても反応はなく、なぜか兄ばかりが答えるのだった。
