兩大星廚「保哥」黃亞保、張錦祥(Ricky)的廚藝與創意兼備，撞出中、西美饌新火花。為了培育煮場接班人，二人化身《煮戰》隊長，帶領十二位參賽者接受非一般考驗，以味道交鋒！ 節目由江美儀擔任主持，保哥與Ricky各自挑選六位精英隊員，以不同主題較量廚藝。經過六場單對單比拼，六強參賽者會向兩位隊長發起挑戰，從而決選終極兩強，角逐冠軍殊榮！ 評分重責則由名廚黃永幟、余健志，以及藝人嘉賓組成的星級評審團主理。
