Underworld is an exciting, visually spectacular cave exploration series shot in 5 international locations, each with a unique landscape, culture and caves. At the heart of every film is an investigation led by Richard ‘Roo’ Walters, employing pioneering 3D laser-scanning technology to solve an important cave-related mystery. Alongside this key quest, the expedition will also explore wider underworld stories, shedding light on the science, natural history, mythology and culture surrounding caves in the featured country and world wide. Our location guides will be cavers, indigenous people and experts. From the final refuges of the Neanderthals in the caves of Gibraltar to the largest caverns on Earth in China, these underground adventures will build a detailed picture of a unique world hidden beneath our feet.
