Pendant ce temps, De Kervern, le nouveau préfet, tente tant bien que mal de faire respecter l’autorité du Gouvernement provisoire auprès des résistants et du C.D.L. L’enjeu : chasser les derniers Allemands et prendre le contrôle de Villeneuve.
Daniel, assisted by Lucienne, treats the wounded of the German unit taking refuge at the school, in order to save his skin and that of Gustave. During this time, De Kervern, the new prefect, tried as best he could to enforce the authority of the Provisional Government among the resistance fighters and the C.D.L. The challenge: drive out the last Germans and take control of Villeneuve.
