Когда началась война, выпускники хореографического училища решили пробиваться на фронт. Юные балерины Алька и Надя тоже мечтали о подвигах, но их вместо этого ждала рутинная работа санитарками в госпитале. Девушки все-таки добились своего и попали на передовую, где при первом же артобстреле Надя погибла. Оправившись после тяжелой контузии, Алька снова отправилась на передовую, в разведвзвод морской пехоты. Она получила первое задание – добыть «языка»…
