警視庁捜査一課の佐野省吾（佐々木蔵之介）は、犯人捜査のためなら手段を選ばない孤立主義の刑事。3年前に突然去った元妻・薫（坂井真紀）の存在が、彼の心に深い傷を残していた。ある日、都内の地下駐車場で、喉に4本のナイフが刺さった脳神経外科医の死体が発見された。被害者の行動には不審な点も多く、佐野のバディである羽住杏奈（恒松祐里）、科警研から出向中の神崎透流（中川大志）とともに、佐野は捜査に乗り出す。しかし、第二の犠牲者が出たことで事態は急転。現場に残された不可解な痕跡は、科学の常識では説明がつかない領域に侵食しているようにも見えてくる。やがて浮かび上がるのは、“ALIUS”と呼ばれる得体の知れない存在だった。そこに隠された意図とは何か。犯人の動機は？常識を疑い、恐怖と知性が交錯する先に、驚愕の結末が待ち受ける。
