Terry wird einem Mitschüler aus seinem Schulsport-Team gegenüber mißtrauisch, besonders, nachdem er herausfindet, daß er in einen Raubüberfall auf einen Laden verwickelt ist. Während des Überfalls wird Jugendliche auf einmal übermächtig und es gelingt ihm, Batman zu schlagen. Als er das Schließfach des Jungen durchsucht, entdeckt Terry, daß dieser süchtig nach "Slapper", einem Supersteroid, ist. Bruce Waynes Untersuchungen der Droge ergeben, daß es sich um eine abgeleitete Form von Venom handelt, und es gibt nur einen Mann, der weiß, wie man Venom herstellt – sein alter Feind Bane.
Terry's late nights as Batman are starting to take a toll on his personal life when he can barely stay awake during the day. When he discovers that several jocks are using "slappers" -- patches that deliver the super-steroid Venom -- he investigates, only for his mother to catch him carrying the drugs. Then he has to find a way to stop the flow of Venom into Gotham and clear his name, all while being grounded.

Batman procura por Bane, o ex-inimigo de Bruce, quando suspeita que ele seja responsável por uma nova droga que está transformando atletas do ensino médio em criminosos violentos.
