2009년 '아마존의 눈물'을 시작으로 '남극의 눈물', '곤충, 위대한 본능' 등의 많은 명품 다큐멘터리들을 선사한 김진만PD 사단이 2018년, 다시 한 번 의기투합했다. 이번엔 곰의 땅으로 들어갔다. 총 제작비 15억. 장장 2년의 시간 동안 곰의 흔적을 좇아 지리산은 물론, 북극, 시베리아, 캄차카, 알프스, 쓰촨 등 12개 지역을 촬영했다. 인간의 발길이 닿지 않는 깊숙한 곳에 펼쳐지는 곰들의 세상. 오로지 곰을 만나기 위한 일념 하나로, 곰의 땅에서 험난한 잠복과 기다림 끝에 그들의 세상을 만날 수 있었다.
