One of the world’s leading wildlife vets uses advanced techniques from human medicine to diagnose and remove the lump. But the story takes a dangerous twist when the chimp nearly wakes during the operation.

One of the world’s top wildlife vets attempts to remove it in a race against the clock, as every minute Grande is under anaesthetic, the weight of his own body risks damaging his vital organs.
