    Jonathan Scott, Simon King and Saba Douglas-Hamilton present the first ever wildlife soap, featuring the lives of lions, leopards and cheetahs. Saba searches for leopards, Jonathan watches a topi defend her calf from a cheetah, and Simon sees a male lion being chased off by rival males.

Simon discovers that the Marsh pride's dominant male is missing, and the lionesses have to defend their cubs from intruders. Saba watches leopard cubs learn to climb. Jonathan sees cheetahs hunting as the wildebeest migration continues.

    The adventures of the lions, cheetahs and leopards of Kenya's Masai Mara game reserve. A Ridge pride lioness's hunt is spoiled by Cheza the cub. Bella the leopard kills a wildebeest calf. The cheetahs are chased off their kill by a baboon. Presented by Simon King, Jonathan Scott and Saba Douglas-Hamilton.

    Simon King is relieved as Sala the lion cub has survived an attack by a buffalo herd. The little female cheetah is still not managing to make a kill and is going hungry - she hasn't eaten for two days. Chui the leopard cub decides to investigate a crocodile, and fortunately escapes unscathed.

    Bella and Chui have survived the lion siege, but Chui is too nervous to come down from the trees. We also catch up with Kike, the famous car-jumping cheetah, and meet some new lion characters. Lion cubs Cheza and Sala are quite active this morning.

    Simon King reports on the terrifying lion fight between adolescents and a lone lioness. Saba thinks she may have found Bella the leopard's missing cub, Chui. The cheetah triplets are in trouble as they wander out of the reserve and head for a herd of livestock.

    Final programme in the series. The wildebeest herds are on the move, heading back to the plains of Tanzania, so it's the big cats' last chance to grab what they can. The cheetah cubs go ballistic in the wildebeest herd. Sala the tiny lion cub is still causing mischief and Chui the leopard looks as if he's finally ready to leave Bella and go it alone.

  • S04E01 Episode 1

    Saba is on the trail of Bella the leopard, a star from the last three series. Bella has just got rid of her overgrown son Chui and is now being courted by all the male leopards in the area. For single mums Tamu the lion and Honey the cheetah, life is a constant battle. Honey has to make some life-threatening decisions, while Tamu the lioness has to protect her family.

    Tamu searches for her cubs. Bella is hungry and keen to hunt, but there are other cats in the area who want a slice of the action. As the Wildebeest migration arrives in Honey's home range the arrival of so much prey brings in other predators that Honey and her cubs could do without.

    Symbols of courage and power, lions have been intensively researched for many decades. While hardly a single facet of their lives has gone unnoticed, certain things have remained hidden. Thanks to thermal imaging cameras, this two-part series reveals the last secrets of Africa’s largest wild cats. We follow two prides in Southern Kenya and their respective females by day and by night, discovering astonishing behavioural patterns. Lean times face the animals as the huge wildebeest herds, which, until now have supplied the young families with ample food, are migrating south to the Serengeti. We will watch the daily struggle for survival as these mothers risk everything in order to rear their young. Protecting their youngsters from threats such as pythons, African buffalo, and elephants. However, it is the other lions that are the greatest threat. We will observe as the fate of the young lions is decided during the next few weeks and when a group of young male lions arrives with ambitions of wresting the territory from its current rulers, the situation escalates in this dramatic family saga.
