While technically Jiro’s grandfather, Toshimasa has raised his grandson as his own for as long as either can remember. In turn, Toshimasa has trained Jiro as shinobi heir in the Azuma family’s long line of ninja. Despite his almost habitual scolding of the quick-to-anger Jiro, Toshima has a deep love and affection for his grandson that is exceedingly clear.
