SMOED has been struggling to find 5 boys to be on the squad. It’s a difficult task because they not only have to be amazing athletes but have fantastic attitudes and be willing to relocate to California. Eddie works his magic to bring in new boys to the team but will they be the right fit and able to handle what it takes to be a boy on Cali SMOED!?
Tyler and Briley are two new athletes to Smoed. They have been working very hard to secure their positions but Briley is dealing with a mental block that affects her ability to tumble. Tyler is having difficulty with his tumbling and Eddie has big expectations for him since he’s a SMOED boy. Eddie decides it’s time to make cuts to the team and Briley and Tyler are both on The Chopping Block. Will they make the team? Watch and see in this week’s episode!
After making the first round of cuts, SMOED Head Coach, Eddie Rios, focuses on getting his squad ready for Cheer Competition Season. Still struggling with tumbling, Eddie decides to bring in a Tumbling Specialist, Coach Megan Ballard, to help get the team back to basics. As the kids condition and work on skills relentlessly, Eddie studies the new routine looking for timing, spacing, and poor performance flaws.
Briley has been struggling with her mental block when tumbling. Unfortunately Coach Eddie had to make the tough decision to make her an alternate so there is now a flying position open on the squad. To temporarily solve the problem, Coach Eddie pulls up Shaye, a flyer from Assassins, a Level 4 team in the gym. But will Shaye have what it takes to physically and mentally handle the pressure of being a flyer on Cali SMOED?

alternate for weeks. However, when a different position opens up that requires her to Main Base she steps-in and steps-up to the challenge! Tyler is now also an alternate with a minor injury, so Eddie is gambling on a new boy from the Cali All Stars, Las Vegas location. And Zoe, unfortunately had a rough practice that sent her to the Emergency Room. Now she is extremely worried about the Cali Showcase coming up in a month and what this could mean for her, while a new girl eyes up her spot on the mat!
Creating the perfect cheer squad takes time, lots of hard work and trying various spots for athletes to see where they really shine. Mariah and Callista get hurt so Eddie once again has to move athletes around to make the routine work. It requires moving puzzle pieces which once again forces Eddie to make some tough decisions regarding who makes the team. With Jamz All Star Nationals in Las Vegas just 3 days away, SMOED is running nothing but FULL OUT after FULL OUT. After last week’s roster shake-up, Dylan stops by practice—just to warm up and observe—but the second he hits the floor, the energy shifts. The guys size him up, and suddenly, stunts are sharper, tumbling is cleaner, and egos are on display. Even Jeremiah throws a new tumble pass to get Coach Eddie’s attention. After the performance, Eddie doesn't lecture—he locks in with the team outside, using every second to reset and regroup for Day 2.
