Raffgier fängt im südamerikanischen Urwald exotische Vögel ein. Er will sie für teures Geld weiterverkaufen. Doch dabei riskiert er auch, dass viele der Vögel umkommen. Das Planetenteam kommt ihm auf die Spur und versucht, den Gangster aufzuhalten.
Linka and Ma-Ti visit a friend, Juan, in Central America. While there, Juan's parrot, El Profesor, leads them to a secluded "bird paradise" when suddenly, a giant, metallic bird appears. All the birds, including El Profesor, follow it and so do Linka and Ma-Ti. They soon find themselves locked in a huge aviary, courtesy of Hoggish Greedly, who's running an exotic bird smuggling venture. El Profesor escapes and leads the Planeteers back to the aviary, where they summon Captain Planet, who closes down Greedly's "fly-by-night" operation.
Linka y Ma-Ti visitan a un amigo, Juan, en Centroamérica. Mientras están allí, el loro de Juan, El Profesor, los lleva a un "paraíso de las aves" apartado cuando, de repente, aparece un pájaro metálico gigante. Todos los pájaros, incluido El Profesor, lo siguen y también Linka y Ma-Ti. Pronto se encuentran encerrados en un enorme aviario, cortesía de Hoggish Greedly, quien dirige una empresa de contrabando de aves exóticas. El Profesor escapa y lleva a los planetarios de regreso al aviario, donde convocan al Capitán Planeta, quien cierra la operación de "volar por la noche" de Greedly.
