Auch in der Neuauflage der VOX-Erfolgsserie stehen fünf Jugendliche im Mittelpunkt: Philipp (Jona Levin Nicolai), Yannick (Yoran Leicher), Nora (Mariama Jobe), Charlie (Greta Krämer) und Elias (Voicu Dumitras) leiden allesamt an schweren Krankheiten. Sie begegnen sich in einem Krankenhaus, wachsen zusammen und gründen ein Bündnis, das stärker ist als jede Diagnose. Gemeinsam geben sie sich Halt und Zuversicht und trotzen ihrem Schicksal, sei die Situation noch so hoffnungslos.
