The special was taped at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville features performances by Alan Jackson, and Brad Paisley adding his blazing guitar work to a performance by Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. Additional performers include Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Sara Evans, Lucy Hale, Hunter Hayes, Little Big Town, Idina Menzel, Nettles, LeAnn Rimes, Michael W. Smith, and Carrie Underwood.

“CMA Country Christmas” rings in the holiday season annually with a night full of festive classics and one-of-a-kind musical performances. The event is filmed in Nashville, Tennessee and airs each holiday season on ABC Television Network. Now in its 11th year, the 2020 Christmas special is being hosted by Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, with performances from some of today’s biggest Country Music stars on November 30th!
Carly Pearce hosts and performs (“Here Comes Santa Claus” and “Man With The Bag”) during the festive special, which also features Steven Curtis Chapman (“Precious Promise”), Dan + Shay (“Officially Christmas” and “Holiday Party”), Scotty McCreery (“Holly Jolly Christmas”), Maren Morris (“Merry Christmas Baby”), Old Dominion (“What Christmas Means To Me”), Molly Tuttle and Pearce (Bluegrass Medley – “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Let It Snow,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Christmas Time’s A-Comin’”), and The War And Treaty (“O Holy Night”).
Filmed in Nashville in front of a live audience, the 16th annual "CMA Country Christmas" will feature one-of-a-kind musical performances of festive classics from country music's biggest stars. Hosted by Lauren Daigle and Jordan Davis, the holiday special will include performances by Daigle, Davis, Riley Green, Lady A, Little Big Town, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks and BeBe Winans.
