Harry Stein (Till Demtrøder) ist Kriminalhauptkommissar in der kleinen Küstenstadt Küstritz und mit Leib und Seele Polizist. Zu Harrys Freude kehrt seine alleinerziehende Tochter Hanna (Vanessa Eckart) mit ihrem fünfzehnjährigen Sohn Benni (Manuel Santos Gelke) aus Rostock in ihre Heimat zurück, um im Küstenrevier gemeinsam mit ihrem Vater als Kriminalkommissarin zu arbeiten.
