Digimon Adventure 02 (デジモンアドベンチャー02, Dejimon Adobenchā Zero Tsū), originally released as Digimon: Digital Monsters Season 2[3] in English-speaking territories, is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation.[4] It is the sequel to Digimon Adventure, and the second anime series in the Digimon franchise.[5] The series aired in Japan from April 2000 to March 2001. It was originally licensed in North America by Saban Entertainment and aired in the US from August 2000 to May 2001.
In Digimon Adventure 02, set three years after the second movie, most of the original DigiDestined have moved on with their lives, though they still hold onto the memories of their past adventures. Taichi, Yamato, Koushiro, and Sora are in middle school, Jou is preparing for high school, and Mimi has moved to America. Takeru and Hikari continue their lives in Japan and meet new friends.
These new friends, Daisuke, Miyako, and Iori, are soon revealed to be DigiDestined, each with their own Digimon partners and special devices called D3s. They are thrust into a new battle when a mysterious boy known as the Digimon Kaizer begins controlling Digimon and prevents them from evolving using Black Spires. With the help of Hikari and Takeru, the new team works together to defeat the Digimon Kaizer and free the Digital World from his control.
Tres años después de derrotar a Apocalymon, los niños elegidos continúan con su vida en el mundo real. Cada uno ha tomado un camino diferente. Tai sigue jugando al fútbol, ahora asiste a secundaria al igual que sus compañeros; Sora ha cambiado el fútbol por el tenis; Matt toca en una banda llamada Teenage Wolves; Izzy sigue con su pasión de investigar todo lo referente al digimundo; Joe, continua estudiando como siempre y teniendo cientos de exámenes; Mimi se ha mudado a EE. UU y T.K., junto a Kari ,siguen estudiando en el colegio cursando 5º de primaria. En esta nueva aventura, aparecen unos nuevos niños elegidos llamados Davis Motomiya, Yolei Inoue y Cody Hida. A ellos se les unen T.K. y Kari para formar la nueva generación.
