The Cameron family of Brownstown, MI is stunned as their 3000 square foot home is struck by lightning during a horrific thunderstorm, and goes up in flames. The home is virtually destroyed, devastating Dan and Karen who spent their entire lives saving to buy this dream home. They and their four children had just moved in and making matters worse is the fact that Dan, who works for an airline, is about to be transferred to Chicago, which means he will not be home to deal with this crisis.
