Shortly after the defeat of Majin Buu, Bills, the God of Destruction, awakens after a long slumber. After hearing rumors of a Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza, he tracks down that warrior, Son Goku. Excited at the prospect of a new challenge, Goku faces him in battle, only to be quickly overwhelmed by his power, and he is defeated shortly thereafter. Realizing the threat Bills poses to the entire universe, Goku and his friends must find a way to stop him before it's too late.

Após dormir por 15 anos, o deus da destruição Bills desperta e logo fica surpreso ao saber que Freeza havia sido derrotado por um jovem saiyajin chamado Goku. Não demora muito para que ele e seu mestre partam para encontrá-lo, ainda mais após Bills lembrar de um sonho que teve envolvendo um duelo épico com um deus super saiyajin que ninguém jamais ouviu falar. Ao encontrá-lo, Goku fica logo animado em enfrentá-lo num duelo, mas logo percebe que seus poderes são ínfimos perto do poderio de Bills.
