    Jerry brings Lynda home after spending the whole summer in hospital.DI Dawson goes to the Block's new mansion to question Lynda and Jerry, the only problem is lynda cant remeber anything from the day of the cup final. Harchester's new stadium 'The Dragon's Lair' opens with their first Home Game of the season against Wimbledon. New signing Scott Lucas causes trouble and makes an instant enemy of Sean, who is really missing his best mate Fletch, now playing for Real Mallorca. After playing Wimbledon, Scott and Sean end up in a fight in the changing rooms.

    While the team is preparing for their first round, second leg, UEFA Cup decider against Ajax. Luis continues to try and see linda but fails due to the private nurse Jerry has hired. While Lindda is at home she read about luis' trip to argentina and he is pictured with lots of women, Lynda gets very upset and tells jerry that it is over between her and Luis later Luis visits Jerrys office and demands to see Lynda, but when he finally does get to see her she tells him she wants nothing more to do with him.Meanwhile Scott and Sean continue to argue.

    The team arrive back in England to find out that Biloo's jet crashed during the night and that Biloo, Leon, Julie and Sean are all presumed dead. Jerry's lawyer meets Jerry at the club and he discovers that the dead players were not insured as Biloo's jet was not official transport, so Jerry stands to lose millions. With the weekend fast approaching, Harchester are playing Chelsea, the team want the match to be called off- but Jerry tells the press that they will go ahead with the game anyway

    A memorial service is held for the dead players. Frank Patcham returns for the service to say a few words for Leon and Sean. Fletch also returns, but Kelly is not so happy to see him. Another un-welcomed face turns up at the service, Mica who then goes back to the club to see Jerry and demands he give her 1 million pounds compensation for the loss of her husband. Marilyn Harwood arrives in Harchester, and Jerry offers her a job as Chief Executive at Harchester. The team discover that Luis is looking for a move from the club, but Luis decides that he cant go and his responsibilities are for Harchester.

Luis and Ray decide to play Scott out of position in the Rangers match and Wes upfront as a striker, Scott is not happy about this and throws a tantrum!

Billy, who is banned from the game after being sent off in the game against ajax stays in Harchester when he gets upset he is comforted by Kelly, and they end up spending the night together. Lynda and Ann go out for a meal together during the game and meet up with some young lads who buy them a drink.

    Lynda tries to sell Fletch to Aston Villa but Prash makes sure he messes up the meeting with John Gregory. Lynda deperate for cash decides to sell Scott at a cheap price but he doesn't want to go. She presuades him to join as Ann and Sam will be nearer. Fletch who heared Lynda meantion Scott to John Gregory tells Prash who phones Ray to inform him. Ray turns up at the club with William who he took from Matt and Lizzie's after Matt let slip Kitty was planning to take William to Thiland to live. Ray had an argument with Lynda over Scott going while Kitty turned up and saw them together. Ray then locked himself in the physio room with William. Kitty, Lynda and Scott tried to talk him out. In the end Scott kicked the door down but his ankel was injured.

    Scott's injury means his out for the season. The story of his injury is he fell down the stairs as the truth would look bad on Ray. Lynda phones John Gregory and is told he'll only buy Scott in the summer now. Ann and Sam come back to keep him company. Scott decides to go on holiday as it's better then doing nothing.     The gas levels at The Baron's get too high so the whole team have to move to The Grange. Fletch managed to get a place of his own to avoid being there. Prash got Fletch to convience the team that he should be chairman. Matt was suspitious as both he and Flech know about the Didier bribe. Screen displays the title IT COULD BE YOU and Dream Team Series 6 has started. The first scene shows a grave yard out side a church. The camara moves along the tombstones towards the church. A gang of nurses (in uniform) are seen entering the chruch. All the regular characters a there in black and looking sad. Two people are standing at the front of the church in black. They are revealed as Patrick Doyle and Karl Fletcher. Patrick starts going threw his pockets like his lost something. After spreading the news to Jeff and Nikki, Jeff goes with Lee up to Liverpool to sort out the problems that are plaguing Lee and his Mother.

    Luke's career is over. After an eye injury during a collision with John Terry in the Chelsea game, Luke Davenport has had his left eye removed. Meanwhile the blackmailers draw ever closer to signing Lee on to Chelsea. Sparks fly and eventually Jeff tries to fight off the blackmailers but is beaten to a pulp, breaking three ribs and a shoulder bone. Lee blames himself for what has happened to Luke as he was supposed to be marking Terry in that match. In the end it is an emotional speech from Luke and Nikki's quick thinking to get Lee's mum out of the country that saves the day. The blackmailers leave with nothing further to gain from Lee and Lee stays at Harchester United signing on his contract. It is a bittersweet day for Harchester. Sweet for Lee. Bitter for Luke. At the end Luke is in a Mercades Benz looking at the Dragon's Logo, he smiles... and drives away...

Meanwhile Everton are on the pitch waiting to kick start the second half which they trial 1-0 due to Clyde scoring against them for the second time in two years. Everyone wonders where Harchester are and the ref goes in the tunnel to warn them the points will go to Everton if they don't come out soon. Stuart tries telling everyone how he threw the game for the good of the team. They are still in shock and furious so don't listen when he says it was Leicester he threw they go mad as it bankrupted the club. Stuart says it was meant to make The Sheikh save them. The team are still trying to get around it and are wondering about the rest of Everton. In the end they go out for the second half as they can't afford to lose but they

    Series 8 starts just after Series 7, with the players still celebrating their Champions League qualification. Then when they find out the news that they have been relegated, the majority of the team wants out. However their new owner, Eli Knox, and their new manager, Don Barker, explain to them that if they leave they don't get paid for their efforts last season (they still have a two leg qualifying round before they have actually qualified for the Champions League). The players try to adjust to life in the Championship, with the help of two new signings - defender Frank Stone (signed from Wigan) and midfielder Tommy Valentine (on loan from Chelsea). Clyde Connolly causes problems - made to play central midfield against his will, at half time in the Dragons' opening match he switches positions with Tommy. The team lose one nil, and Don blames Clyde for the shock defeat.

    As the team prepare for their first leg Champions League qualifier in Lisbon, Nikki and Jeff are locked in discussions with Manchester United trying to negotiate a deal for Lee. However, Lee is unwilling to move. He also wants to play in the Champions League match, but can't as Man Utd don't want him cup-tied. He eventually plays in the match and stays loyal to Harchester, and also sleeps with Nikki. Meanwhile, Tommy has injured his shoulder. He tries to keep it secret as he sees this big match as his big chance to prove himself to potential buyers. Everything goes wrong for the team when a brawl breaks out and all the players except Viv get arrested. Holly, the new trainee physio, hides Tommy's passport resulting in the whole team being bailed out except for him (she found out about his injury, and didn't want him to play).

    Fed up with life in the Championship, several players hand in transfer requests in the hope of securing moves back to the Premiership. However, Eli gets Dean to stall the moves, so that none of the players leave. The team lose the first leg of their Champions League qualifier 2-1, but in the second leg get a 1-0 victory to qualify for the group stage (away goal ruling). It is then that Dean tells them they can't leave. Also, Jeff admits he has feelings for Nikki, only to find out about her and Lee. However, Lee is done with both of them (as agents anyway). He gives them a cheque for the money they would have made if he'd joined Barcelona, and they both leave.

But at least he's not alone - he finds a friend in Chelsea.

Clyde isn't helping - he is constantly taunting Frank. Their arguments reach boiling point when Frank viciously assaults Clyde. Meanwhile, Chelsea can no longer hide her feelings for Ryan. They kiss, then during the Barcelona games things get steamy between them in the boiler room.
