Hauptkommissarin Eleni Theodoraki (Naomi Krauss) kehrt als neue Chefin des Morddezernats in ihre Heimat zurück. Gleich ihr erster Fall hat es in sich. Kretas mächtiger Bauamtsleiter Philippis wird beim Schwimmen in einer Bucht ermordet. Da das Opfer alles andere als beliebt war, haben Eleni und ihre neues Team viele Verdächtige. Sogar der Verlobte von Elenis Nichte Niki gerät in Tatverdacht.
