La historia gira en torno a un centro de salud de un pequeño pueblo, descrito por Sainz como “un ambulatorio cualquiera, de un pueblo cualquiera, de una isla cualquiera”, un escenario sencillo que permite desplegar un humor muy universal pero arraigado en la identidad canaria: acentos, expresiones, ritmos y esa forma tan particular de ver la vida.
