Comunque Tom non è sicuro di essersi liberato di ogni controllo da parte degli alieni, così richiede di essere legato dal capitano Weaver.
Ben perlustra la zona, e scopre che una sentiero del bosco porta sulla collina, in una zona non sorvegliata dai Mech. Così la squadra si organizza per attaccare da quella zona. Thai fa esplodere la base centrale, mentre i veicoli, che perdono il contatto con la propria base, fuggono. A questo punto il piccolo esercito riesce ad attraversare il fiume, facendolo esplodere proprio mentre la retroguardia aliena prova ad attaccarli dalla parte umana del fiume.
