Jubel um Eddie: Er ist von der Uni in Chicago angenommen worden und bekommt sogar ein Stipendium. Papa Winslow hingegen gibt wenig Anlass zur Freude. Denn er weigert sich beharrlich, endlich die Prüfung zum Lieutenant zu machen. Steve versucht, Carl seine Ängste vor dem Versagen zu nehmen.

Everyone applauds Eddie on his college scholarship except Waldo, who fears he's losing a friend. Meanwhile, Carl' s fear of failure could keep him from a job promotion; and Urkel tortures Carl into telling him where Myra is by showing him slides of his cheese-tasting trip.
