看護師の大木美代子は、つきあい始めて1年になる交際相手の野口雄介から札幌に転勤になったことを告げられる。看護師で、ただでさえ自由な時間をとりにくい美代子は不安を募らせる。二人の遠距離恋愛が始まるが、勤務が不規則な美代子と仕事が多忙な雄介は、連絡を取り合う機会も減っていき…。
