Usami's assassination attempt on Shingen fails. Kansuke's mistrust fuels towards the Imagawa clan in spite of the alliance between Takeda and Imagawa. In 1560, Yoshimoto decides to head for the capital, Kyoto. He sends his troops to Owari which is under the control of the Oda Family. Kansuke starts plotting a new scheme for if Oda wins, it would be an excellent opportunity for the Takeda clan to seize Suruga.
宇佐美（緒形拳）の信玄暗殺の謀略は失敗し平蔵（佐藤隆太）は越後へ逃げた。勘助（内野聖陽）は同盟を結びながら策を黙認した寿桂尼（藤村志保）、ひいては今川家に不審感を募らせる。永禄３年（１５６０）、今川義元（谷原章介）は上洛を決意、大軍を率いて織田氏が支配する尾張へ出兵することを決めた。勘助は信玄（市川亀治郎）に、織田が勝つには義元の首を取るほかないと語り、密かに策を練り始める。義元軍の進路を探り、桶狭間という地を織田方がさかんに調べていることを知ると、勘助は単身、駿河を訪れた。勘助は義元が進路に迷っていることを聞き、桶狭間を通らない行程を進言する。五月、今川軍は出陣、圧倒的な戦力で尾張に入った。しかし、義元はいまだに進路を迷っていた。勘助を毛嫌いする義元は最終的に勘助の進言とは逆の道を選んだ…。
