Exactly at midnight on his fifteenth birthday, NICK BLUETOOTH receives a mysterious, glowing present that he guesses is some kind of Map. The Map leads Nick and his best friend ALLEGRA ZANE to an Egg-shaped ship that transports them to the fantastic Outer Dimension. There, Nick and Allegra meet JENS, a cycloptic robot, who isn't expecting Nick or Allegra, but a Great Warrior who is destined to save everyone in the Outer Dimension from the evil tyrant GORM. That night, Nick has a vision in his dreams and learns from QUEEN RIANA that he has to follow the Map to find the Key to Galidor; little in the Outer Dimension is what it appears, Nick needs to trust his heart and not his eyes. Nick awakes to find them all under attack by Gorm. With Allegra in danger, Nick instinctively GLINCHES (transforms) his arm into Jen's mechanical extension arm, proving to all that the ill-prepared Nick is indeed the Great Warrior that Jens was expecting.
