Generator Gawl

Generator Gawl (ジェネレイター ガウル Jenereitā Gauru?) is a 1998 12-part anime series. The story is set in 2007, when Professor Takuma Nekasa uncovers a gene code that will unlock the human body's greatest mystery and expose mankind to its greatest threat. As a result, Gawl, Koji, and Ryo—three young scientists from a future period—have traveled back in time to undo this mistake. Though the trio intended to arrive one year before the calamity, they are instead transported three months prior to the event. In their effort to save the world, they are opposed by the mysterious and cunning Ryuko Saito, a scientist who prefers the future as it is. Saito is assisted by Generators, unearthly assassins posing as humans. As Ryo and Koji try to complete their mission, Gawl himself must "generate"—becoming like his enemies to fight on their terms.

La storia è ambientata nel 2007, anno in cui il prof. Takuma Nekasa scoprì un codice genetico in grado di schiudere il potenziale, rimasto segreto per millenni, degli esseri umani ed esporre l'intera razza umana di fronte alla sua più grande minaccia. Gawl, Koji e Ryo, tre giovani ricercatori provenienti dal futuro, hanno viaggiato indietro nel tempo per sventare l'errore di Nekasa. L'intenzione è di arrivare un anno prima della catastrofe, tuttavia per alcuni errori di calcolo i tre si ritrovano appena tre mesi prima l'evento disastroso. Nel loro tentativo di salvare il mondo, i tre si dovranno scontrare con il misterioso e perfido Ryuko Saito, uno scienziato che vorrebbe che il futuro vada esattamente come previsto. Saito è aiutato dai Generators, assassini ultraterreni che si fingono esseri umani. Mentre Ryo e Koji tentano di portare a termine la propria missione, Gawl sarà costretto a diventare egli stesso un Generator, per poter combattere Saito con le sue stesse armi.

時は2007年。研究学園都市・皇樹学園に22世紀の未来から来た3人の少年・ガウル・コウジ・リョウがやってきた。 目的は未来世界を支配する圧制の超国家「クヴェレ」の打倒であり、クヴェレ発足の引き鉄となる第三次世界大戦の阻止、そしてその遠因となる超技術「インクルード・セル」の研究開発の妨害だった。 だが、彼らを追って未来から送り込まれた刺客・生物兵器「ジェネレイター」の襲撃、学園を支配するクヴェレの尖兵・斉藤リュウコの策謀により、ガウル達の使命の達成は困難に追い込まれる。

Enviados desde el futuro para salvar a la humanidad de un holocausto de pesadilla, tres jóvenes muchachos se mezclan en nuestra sociedad y descubren las peligrosas maquinaciones de un grupo de siniestros científicos. Desgraciadamente para Kouji, Ryou y Gawl, su aparente juventud no les deja otra opción que hacerse pasar por estudiantes extranjeros de intercambio en un instituto local. Su coartada empieza a debilitarse cuando la hija del dueño de la residencia donde se alojan comienza a sospechar cosas malas de Gawl.
