Damon is a graphic (comic) novelist; kind of hip and edgy, he is being haunted by the ghost of a teen boy as he is ready to release his new novel and strange things start to happen to him and the ghost is tormenting him until Melinda can help him find out who is trying to stop his work, while the things the ghost does to Damon are predicted in his comics.

Melinda deve far passare nella luce un ragazzo morto annegato nelle acque gelide di un lago ghiacciato vicino Grandview. Cacciato di casa dal padre, risposatosi dopo che sua moglie l'aveva abbandonato, aveva venduto a un fumettista le tavole disegnate dal fratellastro, per raggranellare qualche soldo. Il fumettista, spinto dalla sua editrice (convinta che quei disegni fossero opera sua), ridisegna la stessa storia, spacciandola come sua storia inedita. Il fantasma inizia a tormentare il fratellastro e per vendicarsi possedendolo gli fa disegnare tavole che rappresentano incidenti che subirà a causa sua. Melinda aiuterà i tre a chiarirsi e Shane riuscirà a passare oltre.
