東京で付き合った男性は全て既婚者。 騙され続け、恋に疲れた前園小春は帰郷するが、父が病に倒れ、経営する喫茶店は借金が返せずに閉店することになってしまった。 しかし、なんとしても店を守りたい小春の前に、伊達龍之介と名乗る謎の男性が現れる。 小春は龍之介から借金を肩代わりする代わりに結婚してほしいと求婚されるが、彼には既に2人の妻がいた！？ なんと故郷の北つばめ市は少子高齢化や過疎化の対策として、日本で唯一の「一夫多妻制（ハーレム婚、通称ハレ婚）」が認められた特区となっていた。 いつか愛する人との結婚を夢見ていた小春は、店を守るために龍之介の“3人目の妻”となることを決意する。 こうして、龍之介、“1人目の妻”のゆず、“2人目の妻”のまどか、そして、小春によるフクザツな結婚生活が始まった。
