    Hawkeye and Chingachgook learn that the Delaware, an Indian tribe that is close to Chingachgook, are being framed by white men for looting, pillaging and murder. They race to the nearest fort to report to the commandant.

    Tom Morgan flees from a Huron attack on Morgansboro, thinking his father, Will, is dead. But Will is rescued by Hawkeye and Chingachgook-and labels Tom as a coward.

    Sent to investigate a complaint that Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys are committing crime verging on treason, Hawkeye and Chingachgook discover that the local sheriff and tax collector are victimising local settlers.

    Weird incidents terrorize a frontier town. in spite of Hawkeye's efforts to disprove the witch stories, strange murders increase the settlers' horror.

    Hawkeye and Chingachgook find, Wenatchgo, an old medicine man of the Conestoga tribe wandering in the wilderness. He tells them he has been driven out by Shenahbe, an ambitious young brave.

    Hawkeye and Chingachgook are given authority to investigate the claims that servants are being sold into bondage. They learn that an unscrupulous farmer is behind the illegal transactions.

    A young lieutenant has sworn vengeance against all Shawnee Indians because his parents were murdered by the war chief of of the tribe. When Nangus, a Shawnee chief, is killed during a peace pow-wow, the lieutenant is blamed. Hawkeye and Chingachcook believe that he is innocent.

    Arriving in a frontier town to deliver type from Benjamin Franklin to printer Nathan Peale, Hawkeye and Chingachgook find themselves involved in the midst of a battle for freedom of the press. Peale is arrested for the murder of his brother-in-law.

  • S01E38 The Indian Doll

    An unscrupulous medicine man, Redwing, of the Turtle tribe, administers a drug to Snowbird, daughter of Chief Killbuck, to discredit Hawkeye and all white men in the eyes of his people. He accuses Hawkeye of casting an evil spell on the little girl.

  • S01E39 Circle of Hate

    A young army lietenant whose family has been wiped out by Indians has developed a fanatical hatred of the Red Man. He attempts to kill or injure any Indian who crosses his path. When Hawkeye and Chingachgook enter the territory they hear of the Indians anger and their desire for revenge that can only lead to full scale war.
