He Said, She Said

Former baseball player Joe Garagiola made his debut as a game show host on "He Said, She Said", a daily program sponsored by Holiday Inn. Four celebrity couples, each playing for a married couple in the studio audience, tried to recognize a clue word given by their mates, related to an incident in their lives. The first half of the game was played with the husbands on stage and their wives in a soundproof room offstage. Each round began with a topic, such as "A time you needed a tranquilizer" or "Something she didn't tell you about for a long time". Each of the men gave a one-or two-word clue and told about an incident in their lives that was related to the clue words. Teams scored twenty-five points if the wives recognized the clue word given by their husbands and lost ten points if they guessed incorrectly or failed t recognize the clues. Halfway through the show the husbands and wives exchanged places. The team with the most points at the end of the show won a week's vacation at a Holiday Inn for their audience partners. "He Said, She Said" was revived in 1974 under the title "Tattletales".
