高校生活も半分が過ぎ、誰もが本格的に進路を考えはじめる頃。
デザイナーになるため美大を目指す朝倉光一は、ある日、美術館の壁に殴り描きされたグラフィティに衝撃を受ける。
描いたのは、ある出来事をきっかけに才能を封じ込めてきた、
左ききの女子高生・山岸エレンだった。
いつしか二人は「描く」ことを通じてお互いを認めあい、
光一はデザイナー、エレンは画家への道を歩み始めるが──。

Halfway through high school, everyone begins to seriously consider their future. Kōichi Asakura, who aspires to attend an art school to become a designer, is shocked one day by graffiti scrawled on the wall of an art museum. The artist is Ellen Yamagishi, a left-handed high school student whose talents have been suppressed since a certain incident.
The two eventually come to recognize each other through drawing, and Kōichi embarks on his path to becoming a designer, while Ellen embarks on her path to becoming a painter.

Koichi Asakura et Eren Yamagishi sont deux amis d’enfance. Le premier, designer dans une agence de communication, a bien du mal à voir une perspective heureuse au déroulement de sa carrière, tant il semble avoir atteint les limites de ce dont il est capable.
La seconde, quant à elle, connait une certaine reconnaissance publique sous le pseudonyme de « The Southpaw », notamment grâce à sa peinture et ses graffs : un style artistique qu’elle a appris et développé aux États-Unis en tant qu’artiste de rue indépendante.
Un jour, Koichi reçoit une proposition qui pourrait bien offrir un second souffle à son quotidien ennuyeux et enfin lui permettre de se faire un nom, mais est finalement écarté du projet, car jugé pas encore suffisamment mûr pour l’assumer.
Déprimé et en manque d’inspiration, il retourne dans sa ville natale, où son destin s’apprête à croiser de nouveau celui de son ancienne amie Eren…
