Jonathan und Mark besorgen Alice ein Zimmer in dem Haus, in dem sie selbst wohnen. Hausbesitzerin Marge ist etwas schwierig. Ihr Sohn Gary verliebt sich in Alice. Alice gesteht Gary, dass sie schwanger ist. Sie ist nur in die Stadt gekommen, um das Kind auszutragen, und will das Baby anschließend zur Adoption freigeben. Gary ist sehr enttäuscht. Als Alices Vater auftaucht, bekommt Jonathan alle Hände voll zu tun.

Jonathan and Mark have an interesting assignment as they try to give Gary and Alice a new direction in their lives. As Gary begins to fall in love with Alice he soon discovers a secret that suddenly makes him a father.
Alice makes plans to give up her baby for adoption but as the birth of the baby gets closer she begins to have second thoughts about giving the baby up.
