    Angela Rippon spends the night on patrol with the Spanish police in the holiday resort of Magaluf, where she investigates the effects of holiday boozing and hears the real story from the professionals who have to deal with the consequences when things go too far. Helen Skelton heads to Egypt to meet Linda, who had a hot air balloon accident on her trip of a lifetime. Left with 62 broken bones, can a tailor-made dream break breathe the magic back into Egypt for Linda, fearful of ever going on holiday again? Meanwhile, Joe heads to the sunny Algarve, to check into a hotel that has been torn apart online, and calls in expert help to investigate the hidden horrors.

    Angela discovers who looks out for terrified teenagers in Majorca when they are miles from mum. She also drops into the police station, where she meets more Brits in trouble. Helen hears from a family who were turned into a human fireball in Turkey. With their confidence in tatters, can Helen help them return to the resort to enjoy some family fun, or have their bridges been burnt forever? And Joe travels to Miami, where a hotel of horrors goes under the spotlight. In the glamorous and trendy South Beach, armed with hotel inspectors, Joe finds out first-hand if the hotel really is the best value in the area.

    Angela meets the holidaymakers in need of some emergency medical attention on the Spanish island of Mallorca. She also heads to the lab to discover the science behind the bugs we pick up on holiday, and how to avoid them. Helen travels to Corfu to help one couple forget their nightmare holiday in the middle of a Thai building site, and to show them how researching your accommodation before you book really does pay off. Meanwhile in Rhodes, Joe lifts the lid on a budget hotel that just isn't cutting the basic health and safety requirements.

    Angela heads to the British consulate in Palma, Mallorca, where the staff are dedicated to looking after the great British holidaymaker. She meets the team who deal with everything from arrests to accidents, lost passports to lost lives. Across the waters in mainland Spain, Helen meets Joy and Alan, who became victims of highway robbery, and drops into the British Consulate in Malaga to see what is being done about the latest crime to hit British holidaymakers. Can Helen rebuild Alan and Joy's confidence in travelling and give them an experience that will help them forget their highway hell? Meanwhile, Joe delves into some downright dodgy hotels on a mission to put things right. From cockroaches in Tenerife to pests in Dominican Republic, can Joe convince the owners to re-vamp and re-think the hotels that we save up all year to stay in?

Angela investigates the perils of hotel balconies, hearing from a young man whose fall from a balcony in Thailand left him with horrific head injuries, and is on call with the Turkish police in the holiday resort of Marmaris where she meets a young family who have fallen victim to juvenile pickpockets. Joe calls in expert help to reveal the hidden horrors of a Cyprus hotel which has been slated online by British holidaymakers, while Helen gives tips on how to avoid the holiday crooks and assists Dr Chris van Tulleken in a pop-up beach surgery, helping British holidaymakers with common and not-so-common holiday ailments, including what appears to be a mysterious moving mosquito bite. Plus, reporting on some of the very best holidays at home and abroad, Joe and Helen go head-to-head to find the best city break. In the battle of vacation versus stay-cation, can Bristol ever hope to compete with New York?

And in a battle of staycation v vacation, Helen goes toe-to-toe with Joe in search of the best family beach holiday - at home on Britain's South coast or abroad on Turkey's Med?

Helen also investigates how to avoid being weighed down by the costs of excess baggage and, in a battle of staycation versus vacation, goes head-to-head with Joe to find the best adrenalin-fuelled adventure weekend for two. Will it be thrill-seeking at home in Scotland, or adventures abroad in Iceland?
