    Tonight, Phillip reveals the must-have toys for Christmas 2017, starting by tasking Jonathan Ross with examining the revival of nostalgic toys from Christmas’ past. Stacey Solomon and her sons join other families to test the latest physical board games for Christmas day. Journalist and ‘toyologist’ Peter Jenkinson is on hand to give his predictions on this year’s best-selling Christmas toys, along with his top tips on how to get hold of them. Chris and Kem try out some of the most popular children’s scooters. With 2,500 versions on the market they ask which one should be on Christmas lists. Additionally, the latest high tech toys are put to the test by six sets of twins to try to determine if their extra interactivity is worth the money. Phillip also road tests some of the more unusual toys on offer this year, to try to determine if they make truly fabulous presents or just faddy gifts that won’t last beyond the cold turkey trimmings. Tonight it’s the turn of ‘Cozmo the Robot’, ‘Bubblelick’ and ‘Soundmoovz’.

    This time, Phillip is joined by his wife Stephanie as they investigate what partners should buy each other this Christmas.Lisa Smosarski, editor-in-chief of Stylist Magazine, is on hand to help Phillip and Stephanie navigate the minefield that is gift-giving, with suggestions for big ticket items as well as stocking fillers.Phillip teams up with fellow enthusiast Vernon Kay to try out some of the most popular drones on the market – although their flying skills are put to shame by Luke Bannister, the 17-year-old UK drone racing champion. And the big gadget for this Christmas, the voice activated speaker, is put under the microscope.Coleen Nolan heads to Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield to see which perfume the British public prefers in a blind test – an expensive designer brand or a cheap high street imitation. And the Real Housewives of Cheshire get their hands on the hottest handbags.Among the more unusual gifts which Phillip tests this time is a hydrophobic stain-free shirt, the Illumibowl – a motion activated light for your toilet, and the ‘Licki Brush', a giant tongue shaped brush you hold in your mouth then use to groom your cat.

She and Phillip put a so-called convenient Christmas to the test by sampling ‘Christmas Dinner In A Box.'Joe Pasquale reveals all there is to know about crackers, while Jenny Agutter investigates the ultimate festive foodie gift - the hamper - showing how to put together a top notch version at the fraction of the price of the ones in posh department stores.Phillip heads to Glasgow, the Prosecco capital of the UK, to ask the public to rank their favourite festive fizz, and he tests the new puddings on the block – ‘reveal' desserts.Dancer Vincent Simone joins Phillip to test coffee pod machines to determine which is the best on the market, and it's man against machine as Phillip and his high tech blender go head to head with Michelin starred chef Matt Gillan in a Christmas veg chopping challenge.Interior designers Russell Whitehead and Jordan Cluroe offer advice on Christmas trees, creating a table to blow guests away without blowing the budget, and reveal the latest trends in Christmas lights.Finally Phillip tests some of the more unusual gifts on offer this year to determine if they make truly fabulous presents or just faddy gifts that won't last beyond Boxing Day.     In the first episode Phillip rates some of the latest "must have" toys, from stocking fillers to big ticket items, so he can give viewers the heads-up on what will be top of kids’ Christmas lists this year. With more than 200 interactive toys on the market, he hosts the Best Toy in Show Competition to test the latest high-tech electronic pets. Will the most expensive prove to be the most popular with our six and seven year old testers? Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson tests new board games with his and other families in Manchester to find out which game is worth splashing out on this Christmas. Football legend Chris Kamara takes to the race-track to test out electric ride-on toys with a group of young drivers - pulling out his speed gun in a bid to find the best motor that fits under the Christmas tree. While collectable toys have never been more popular, Phillip asks how much it actually costs to get a whole set, and the programme’s young investigators are given £50 to spend on Hatchimals, CollEGGtibles and Lego Mini Figures to see how far their money stretches. For teenagers, Phillip risks a fall by testing Segway’s high-tech roller skates that power themselves, while comedian Sally Phillips and her children find out what computer consoles are worth getting without breaking the bank. And with long-suffering parents in mind, Phillip investigates messy play toys including slime, sand and pens to ask which toy could cost the most in post-play clean-up time? He also reveals what he thinks are this year’s top five blockbuster toys.

    Episode two investigates the best gifts and gadgets for your nearest and dearest - and to help Phillip through that minefield, he enlists the help of his wife Stephanie along with the most discerning of judges, the great British public. People often go for expensive branded products at Christmas in the hope of spoiling their loved ones, but are big brands really worth the extra spend? Ten couples, including presenter Ore Oduba and wife Portia, take part in a series of blind test-offs to see if brand or budget is better when all the labels are removed. Fashion expert Gok Wan is on a mission to find the perfect present for his beloved dog Dolly. He visits an exclusive pet boutique who sell collars up to the value of £1,000 as well as testing out more affordable gifts including a dog selfie ball holder and looks at some unusual treats for Christmas including a “Pawsecco” drink and squeaky sprout balls. Also in the show, Love Islanders Jack Fowler, Josh Denzel and Jack Fincham test the latest wireless headphones and the public use their noses for a blind sniff test across a price range of popular floral perfumes on the market. With a quarter of us now having a smart device in our home, Phillip tests out the best-selling tech that can control everything from music to coffee to opening your blinds in the morning, all with a tap of the screen, asking whether they're worth splashing out on this christmas. At the end of the show Phillip reveals his top three picks of the best gifts and gadgets this Christmas.

    With just a week to go before Christmas, Phillip turns his attention to the food and drink you’ll be buying for the big day. He’s joined by wife Steph along with a host of celebrities to test what’s on offer for the last big shop, from turkeys to mince pies to edible wreaths. Members of the cast of Emmerdale blind taste luxury canapes from the big supermarkets to find out which one gets the thumbs up from the Woolpack. A group of English, French, Spanish and Italians take part in the European Championships of Fizz to get some answers to whether the best festive bubbly is Prosecco, Cava, Champagne or our very own English sparkling wine. Tasting them with the labels hidden, will they be able to identify their own nation’s fizz and which will they crown king of the bubbles? Celebrity chef Matt Tebutt prepares three turkeys for Phillip and Steph to sample - from £20 to £100 - with the aim to discover whether it is worth paying more for your bird. Phillip also looks at kitchen gadgets on sale this Christmas - from a tea bag squeeze to the “Instant Pot” that claims to cook a chicken in just 25 minutes. But what’s worth getting and what could be just a gimmick to avoid? And finally, Steph and Dom of Gogglebox fame test the alcoholic drink of the moment - gin. But which one should savvy shoppers buy? At the end of the show Phillip will be recommending his top three picks for the perfect tasty Christmas.

    In this final episode, Phillip will be tucking into this year’s food and drink offerings to help you make your Christmas dinner dazzle without breaking the bank. Last year British shoppers bought 14 million bottles of fizz over the festive season. There is a lot of snobbery around sparkling wine, so can the champagne lovers from the Real Housewives of Cheshire tell the difference when all the labels are removed from £10 and under bottles and which will they crown the best on taste? Can a pre-prepared and pre-cooked turkey crown ever taste better than a turkey lovingly cooked from scratch? A proud home cook who spends four hours preparing food on Christmas day takes on her husband, who will be serving all pre-prepared food to eight strangers to blind taste test, and there are surprising results on taste and price. This year there are a raft of retro-inspired kitchen gadgets on the market and Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her mum Janet test out the modern day takes on some much loved 70s products, from the Sodastream to the tea maker. Phillip and wife Steph get into the spirit of Christmas, taking on each other to see who can make the best DIY gin from homemade kits with Matt Tebbutt judging their efforts. Matt is also on hand to offer advice on getting the most for your money when it comes to the Christmas cheeseboards. And he tests Phillip and Steph’s taste buds with this year’s big trend of flavoured cheese. Christmas pudding remains the nation’s favourite Christmas desert; however, younger people are less likely to buy it. Phillip goes to Henley to taste test some of the best supermarket and high-end puddings with the Henley Women’s Institute and some young locals. This Christmas one in five of us will be hosting a vegan or vegetarian person and the supermarkets are full of options, but which is good enough for the Christmas table?
