JoJo wants to celebrate the St Lucia carnival with Great Gran Gran. Great Gran Gran shows JoJo pictures of the local carnival via video call, but JoJo is disheartened when Gran Gran says it's too far for them to travel to and join in with. Instead, JoJo and Gran Gran have their own carnival in the back garden, including making their very own parade float for JoJo to ride on! JoJo and Gran Gran celebrate their heritage at home with Great Gran Gran on the webcam. Together the family enjoy the festivities with all of JoJo and Gran Gran's friends!
After playing with her toy dinosaurs in Gran Gran's garden, JoJo decides she would love to see a real-life dinosaur! Gran Gran takes her to the museum to see the fossilised skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus rex, explaining that dinosaurs lived a very long time ago! However, it's more difficult to find the T-rex than she imagined, despite it's size. JoJo and Gran Gran get lost through time as they explore the large museum, and it's only when Ezra the tour guide gives them guidance that JoJo and Gran Gran find the amazing artefact!
When JoJo runs out of story-books to read at Gran Gran's house, she visits the Library with Gran Gran and gets her very own library card from Terrence the Librarian. JoJo learns all about the Library and how it works, and discovers just how amazing it is; she is stuck for choice. JoJo feels very lucky to have a card that means she can borrow books to read over-and-over again.
JoJo and Gran Gran are having their own sports day with Jared and Cynthia in the park; equipped with delicious sandwiches and lots of games to play. But, when JoJo isn't quite fast enough to win the races, Gran Gran suggests they compete in an egg and spoon race, where JoJo excels! JoJo learning that being faster doesn't always win the race!
JoJo and Gran Gran are on a day-trip to the sunny seaside with one mission in mind: to build the biggest sandcastle ever built; for Panda to play inside. But, JoJo has no luck with building her sandcastle and feels disheartened when she learns of the tide, and that it will carry her best-one-yet away into the sea! But with Gran Gran on-hand, JoJo learns that things don't need to last forever to be special as the pair take lots of pictures for them to keep forever and remember.
JoJo doesn't know what to do with the odd socks in Gran Gran's laundry basket. So Gran Gran suggests they put on a puppet show, just like she used to do with Great Gran Gran when she was JoJo's age! Together, JoJo and Gran Gran make their own puppets and practice their lines, all in preparation for a big show in the garden called The Lion Who Lost His Roar! Great Gran Gran watches via video call with Jared and Cynthia. It's a hit!
JoJo is having a summer sleepover at Gran Gran's house and has brought everything she needs from home, including her favourite bedtime storybook. But JoJo is confused when Gran Gran suggests it might be bed-time, even though the sun is still shining in the sky! JoJo wanted to see the twinkly sleepover stars before she slept, just like the ones on the cover of her storybook. Gran Gran resolves to use fairy lights to create their own night time starry sky, and JoJo learns that the sun stays in the sky longer during summer.
JoJo and Gran Gran are in charge of watering Cynthia's flowers while she's away from home on an adventure holiday. JoJo thinks Cynthia's holiday photos look amazing and would like to go on an adventure holiday herself. So she and Gran Gran pack a suitcase and some snacks before going to the park to have their very own adventure vacation, complete with wobbly waves and zippy ziplines!
After going strawberry picking at the local strawberry farm, JoJo and Gran Gran have lots of juicy strawberries left over. They're too full to eat them, but Gran Gran has a plan! JoJo helps Gran Gran make delicious strawberry jam, which preserves the strawberries for a long time to come - meaning they can enjoy them over and over again.
JoJo wishes Gran Gran could join her on a bike ride through the park because Gran Gran can't walk as fast as JoJo can pedal. Gran Gran has an old bike somewhere in the shed and decides to find it and fix it with JoJo's help. After a clean, a fix-up and a pump of the tyres, Gran Gran is ready to join JoJo on a bike ride through the park - with JoJo learning that it's important to take care of things to keep them working!
When JoJo hears the announcement of a new Captain Chloe film on the radio, she is disheartened to learn that it won't be available to watch for some time. Luckily, Gran Gran has a Gran Gran Plan - she and JoJo can make their own film to tide them over, and Jared (a keen film-maker) can help. JoJo learns all about the camera, acting and editing, eventually producing an amazing film trailer for the gang to watch with popcorn.
JoJo meets Ezra’s grandson Jaxon, and they join Jared, Cynthia, Ezra and Terrence for a football match in the park - with Gran Gran as the referee! The game goes well, but JoJo doesn’t score any goals. Gran Gran reminds her she is good at catching and suggests she tries being a goalkeeper instead. With JoJo’s help, her team wins!
JoJo and Gran Gran get caught in the rain at the park. They shelter under the bandstand and JoJo spots a rainbow! JoJo discovers that rainbows are only visible when it's rainy and sunny at the same time. On the way home, JoJo realises that rainbow colours are all around them, which inspires Gran Gran to have a plan - they can create their own rainbow at home!
JoJo and Gran Gran take the bus to visit the art gallery. JoJo wants to find paintings of pandas, so they join a tour with curator Marie and see lots of different type of art, and experience how abstract art makes them feel. JoJo can’t find any paintings of pandas but realizes art isn't just for looking at – it's for making too! JoJo makes lots of panda art and creates her own gallery in Gran Gran's garden.
JoJo and Gran Gran press a flower so that it will last for a long time. JoJo learns that flowers wilt over time, but flower pressing is a special way to make them last longer. JoJo and Gran Gran look through Gran Gran's wedding album and enjoy old photographs, special things and happy memories. Gran Gran realizes they have found the perfect place to keep their special pressed flower.
JoJo wants to go somewhere new, so Gran Gran takes her to discover new places in the local community. They visit Jared's shop, the community garden and the roof of the library, spotting lots of new things along the way. JoJo realizes that even when you think you know somewhere, there are always new places to discover.
JoJo, Gran Gran and Cynthia build a bug hotel in Cynthia’s garden and welcome some new residents. JoJo learns that different insects are attracted to different materials and environments in the bug hotel. Ladybirds like straw, beetles like dry leaves and bees like nooks and crannies. Gran Gran gives JoJo her own mini bug hotel for the insects in her own garden.
JoJo and Gran Gran visit the market early in the morning to buy some fish. But before they can collect their fish from Navid the fishmonger, they get distracted helping their friends. They choose a new ball for Monty and help Charlene choose the perfect headwraps. Navid saves their fish for them, and JoJo learns that the market is just like a family – the people are kind and look out for each other.
JoJo and Gran Gran visit the park cafe, where JoJo tries the daily special on the menu for the first time. When they get home, they decide to make a play cafe in Gran Gran's garden for JoJo's toys to visit. JoJo makes a menu and Gran Gran helps her make the play food. JoJo learns how much fun it is to run a cafe – especially when you have a special on the menu.
When Panda's arm gets a small tear in the park, Gran Gran has a plan to head home and set up a hospital for Panda and JoJo's other toys. After stitching up Panda's arm, they decide to do a medical check-up on the other toys, including an x-ray for Hugo the dinosaur. JoJo learns that Panda's stitches are a bit like a scar on Gran Gran's arm. JoJo learns that scars don't go away, but they don't change who you are either
JoJo and Gran Gran go swimming in a lido on a hot summer day. JoJo is excited to show Gran Gran what she has learnt in her recent swimming lessons, but when she loses her goggles, she isn’t sure she can jump into the water. After spending more time in the pool with Gran Gran, JoJo learns to jump in without her goggles – making a big splash!
JoJo and Gran Gran bump into Ned and Monty as they walk along the canal. Ned invites them onboard to go on a boat ride, where JoJo gets to act as captain – on the lookout for treasure! They go past many locations along the canal, including a park and the zoo, before getting an ice cream! JoJo learns that people can live on boats.
On a hot summer day, JoJo, Gran Gran and their friends are painting the fence around the community garden. JoJo and Gran Gran decide to buy ice lollies from Jared’s shop, only to find he has run out! Instead, they buy fruit, and JoJo soon realises that ice lollies can be made at home by freezing fruit juice. JoJo and Gran Gran give their homemade ice lollies to their friends.
JoJo and Gran Gran go to a special exhibition at the art gallery to learn about Gran Gran’s journey to England. Gran Gran’s donating a special possession – the coat she wore as a child when she travelled from St Lucia to England. In the coat pocket, they find Gran Gran’s boarding ticket. There’s lots to see at the exhibition – one photo in particular catches Gran Gran’s eye. Jared is also visiting the exhibition and points out that it’s a photo of his grandad aboard a ship to England. JoJo spots a little girl in the photo wearing the same coat as Gran Gran. Gran Gran realises the little girl is herself! Now she has her coat, her ticket and a photo of her and Great Gran Gran travelling too.
JoJo and Gran Gran celebrate Diwali, the festival of light, with their friends Raya and Nirada. It’s a very exciting celebration, with lots of yummy food, diyas, music and, of course, lights! Raya teaches JoJo how to make a rangoli. And when Raya doesn’t like the loud sounds coming from the fireworks, JoJo has a plan to help her friend!
When JoJo is interested in all the beautiful fish that Gran Gran shows her on the tablet, Gran Gran has a plan. They can visit all the fish and sea creatures at the aquarium! Whilst there, JoJo is amazed by the fish and sea creatures. To top off their fun-filled day out, JoJo meets a special friend of Gran Gran’s.
When JoJo and Gran Gran find a sycamore tree, they decide to take a woodland walk. Equipped with JoJo’s handy Nature Tick Book, they go on a search for all the different trees they can find. When JoJo realises that she’s a little bit too small to see the tops of the trees, JoJo and Gran Gran discover there are lots of other ways to figure out which tree is which!
JoJo and Gran Gran call Great Gran Gran to sing her the new song that JoJo has learnt. While doing so, JoJo discovers it is Jounen Kweyol (Creole Day) in Saint Lucia. JoJo is very interested in learning Creole, so to celebrate Creole Day, Gran Gran teaches her some words. They call Great Gran Gran again, and JoJo performs the new version of the song she has learnt in Creole!
When JoJo, Gran Gran and the Nature Club dig up a buried time capsule, they find it filled with lots of old items that belong to the old club. Gran Gran has a plan: why don’t they reunite the capsule’s owners with their possessions? Then JoJo and the Nature Club can bury a new time capsule of their own!
When JoJo and Gran Gran visit the beach, JoJo is surprised to find the sea isn’t there anymore! Gran Gran explains that the sea is there, but it’s just further away as the tide it out, making it the perfect time to go beachcombing. Together, they see what interesting things they can find. JoJo learns all about fossils, as well as the people in the past who helped discover ones that are millions of years old, hidden within the beach. JoJo even finds a few special things of her own!
JoJo and Gran Gran are enjoying a Captain Chloe adventure in which she travels to see a volcano. Afterwards, Great Gran Gran calls to teach JoJo all about real-life volcanoes, and Gran Gran has a plan. Why don’t they make a mini volcano of their own? They get to work building it - and it even erupts!
JoJo thinks she’s seen every animal that visits Cynthia’s garden. But Cynthia shows JoJo her new night-time camera, which can take photos of nocturnal animals JoJo has never seen. Gran Gran has a plan to help JoJo discover these night-time animals – they can leave a footprint tracker out overnight outside her house to find out which ones visit them. The next day, they check the tracker. As hoped, there are lots of prints: hedgehogs, foxes and more! Best of all, Cynthia gets some photographs of the night-time animals to share too.
When Mummy sets off for work at the hospital, JoJo wants to know what a job is. To explain, Gran Gran takes JoJo to see their friends, who work in all their different jobs. While they’re out, they realise Mummy accidentally took Gran Gran’s phone to the hospital with her. Now JoJo has a job – visiting Mummy to fix the mix-up and making sure she gets her phone back!
Jared has a special plant which needs a pot, so JoJo makes him one in a pottery class. When the pot is knocked onto the floor and breaks, Gran Gran has a plan. JoJo and Gran Gran glue the pot together and find a way to make it look even better than before. Jared loves his new pot, cracks and all, because JoJo has put so much time and care into making it.
When JoJo, her cousin Lexi and Gran Gran visit the farm, they see how the animals keep warm in winter. Julie, who works at the farm, shows JoJo and Lexi the llamas. They meet one called Lucy, who sadly can’t go outside because she’s older and feels the cold more than the younger llamas. Gran Gran has a plan - she can knit Lucy a new neck warmer to keep warm and enjoy being outside too!
Great Gran Gran shows JoJo her St Lucian local newsletter, and JoJo is inspired to make her own community newsletter. They go out and about finding news for it. Cynthia tells them that a mystery guest is turning on the winter market lights, Charlene shares that she has special bunting for sale at the winter market, and Navid tells them about his new food stall. JoJo and Gran Gran get working on making their newsletter. Everyone loves the newsletter, and they are all excited to see the mystery guest turn on the winter market lights.
JoJo and Gran Gran visit the community garden to pull up the winter vegetables. They get some help harvesting the broccoli and cauliflower from their friends Ellie and Alfie, but it’s not time to dig up the carrots because they won’t be ready until the spring. However, that doesn’t stop the birds from trying to eat them! Alfie scares them off, but he won’t be able to be there all the time. Gran Gran comes up with a plan – they can make a scarecrow to keep the birds away.
JoJo and Gran Gran discover that Ezra’s having a Tyrannosaurus tea party at the museum! But, he doesn’t have time to make his special strawberry cake, so JoJo and Gran Gran offer to bake it for him. Their first stop is Jared’s shop, but he hasn’t had his fruit delivery, so there are no strawberries. However, he does have pineapples in stock. Gran Gran has a plan – they can’t make a strawberry cake, but they can make a pineapple upside-down cake. At the tea party, they realise everyone went to Jared’s shop for ingredients, and they all used pineapples for the party food. Delicious!
When JoJo can’t find a new Captain Chloe book to read, Terrence suggests that she has a look in a different area of the library – the poetry section. JoJo finds an interesting pirate poetry book and reads it with Gran Gran. Later at the shop, Jared tells JoJo he likes poetry too, but the poetry he writes is a bit different - it’s called rap. With Gran Gran on beatbox, Jared performs his own rap. Gran Gran has a plan for her and JoJo to make up their own poem, inspired by what they see out and about in their local community.
JoJo, Gran Gran, Mummy and Daddy are at the airport waiting to take a flight to see a special someone – Great-Gran Gran in Saint Lucia. They’re all ready to go when their flight gets delayed. To pass the time, Daddy teaches JoJo where Saint Lucia is on the world map. Gran Gran shows JoJo planes going to different destinations, and Mummy gets a gift for Great-Gran Gran. Eventually, the gate to their flight opens, and once aboard the plane, it’s up, up and away they go!
JoJo, Gran Gran, Mummy and Daddy all arrive in Saint Lucia to see Great-Gran Gran receive her medal of honour from the mayor. Everybody’s preparing for the ceremony when a storm strikes. To make sure Great Gran Gran’s celebration goes ahead, Gran Gran has a plan: they might not be able to have the ceremony at the original location, but they can surprise Great Gran Gran by having it in her garden and inviting the mayor and all their friends. The surprise is a success: Great-Gran Gran loves her party, and everyone enjoys having a chance to celebrate and dance!
JoJo, Gran Gran, Mummy and Great-Gran-Gran have a special day ahead of them to celebrate Mother’s Day. Together, the four generations of JoJo’s family have a relaxing spa day at home. Daddy helps JoJo surprise Mummy with a special meal, Gran Gran sends Great-Gran-Gran a card, and Mummy gives Gran Gran a special blanket. JoJo had forgotten that Gran Gran is Mummy’s mummy! Everyone loves their gifts.
JoJo and Gran Gran visit the woods, keeping a record of all they find on a journey stick. Looking around, they find lots of fallen flowers, leaves, seeds and bark to decorate their stick. They search a little further and see Isaiah and Joshua have found a hut made of twigs. They go even further into the woods but aren’t sure where they are. Gran Gran has a plan: they can use their journey sticks to retrace their steps! Slowly but surely, they find their way back to all their friends in time for lunch.
JoJo and Gran Gran visit Jared’s shop, which really does stock everything, and everything has a place. When they get home, JoJo decides to open her own shop with her till and panda pounds. Having found lots of things that they can sell, JoJo is disappointed when she can’t quickly find what her customers want to buy. Gran Gran has a plan, and soon everything has a place – perfect for JoJo and Gran Gran’s customers Jared and Cynthia to find just what they want to buy.
JoJo learns about fridge magnets and how helpful hooks can be for reaching things like her rubber ducks. Gran Gran decides to teach JoJo about some clever inventions that made life easier. Then JoJo accidentally drops Gran Gran’s keys behind the sofa. It’s time for a Gran Gran plan! They combine the hook from JoJo’s rubber duck game and her hobby horse to make a 'key collector'. But it doesn’t work. JoJo wants to improve her invention, so Gran Gran has another idea – a fridge magnet to attract the keys onto the key collector! Success - the magnet gets the keys, so JoJo and Gran Gran can go to the park. Inventing was fun!
JoJo and Gran Gran take a trip to have JoJo’s eyes tested at the opticians. Jaxon and Ezra help explain what it means to be long- and short-sighted. After his eye test, Jaxon is struggling to decide which glasses he would like to wear. JoJo really wanted to pick new glasses too, but she doesn’t need them. Gran Gran has a plan: JoJo can help Jaxon pick his new glasses! Back home, JoJo makes Panda some glasses.
JoJo and Gran Gran spot a bird’s nest in Cynthia’s garden, which inspires JoJo to make a nest for Panda. Cynthia and Gran Gran teach JoJo about all the nests that different birds make to help their babies. Gran Gran has a plan: while JoJo waits for the eggs they found to hatch, they can go to the park and see all the ducklings that have already hatched out and about! Meanwhile, Daddy helps teach JoJo how to whistle just like a bird. After lots of tries, JoJo is finally whistling away! Soon, back at Cynthia’s, there’s a lovely surprise - the eggs have hatched.
It’s been raining, so JoJo wants to get outside and splash in the puddles. Isaiah arrives for his play date with JoJo, but Isaiah wants to stay inside and read his science books. Gran Gran suggests they compromise, but what is a compromise? Gran Gran has a plan: they can use the puddles outside to do a science experiment inside. They use timers and the sun to track the edge of the puddle and find out how long it takes for a puddle to disappear.
At the wetland centre, JoJo and her friends Alfie, Raya, Jaxon and Isaiah find frog spawn. Gran Gran and Cynthia teach them about the life cycle of frog spawn to tadpole and frog. The friends want to see for themselves, so they each take it in turns to check in on the spawn. Once they’re fully grown, the frogs are found busy hopping all around. But JoJo manages to snap a quick photo of one and finish the life cycle project on the board.
JoJo and Gran Gran are on the beach enjoying a Captain Chloe book about castle adventures. JoJo wants to play along and looks out to sea for Captain Chloe, but she discovers that she must use her imagination. Spotting a nearby castle, Gran Gran takes JoJo on a special trip. Bonnie gives them a tour, but JoJo’s confused - why is the castle in ruins? JoJo uses her imagination to think about what each room was used for and creates a story about a pirate queen who lives in the castle with her pirate knight, played by Panda. JoJo even thinks there’s a room where the pirate queen kept her secret treasure!
JoJo and her cousin Lexi are at the swimming pool with Gran Gran. It’s time for their swimming lesson with Reeni, and today they’re learning how to swim underwater. They remember it's breast stroke for arms and front crawl for legs, and they’re ready to go - but it turns out it’s a little bit tricky swimming underwater. It’s time for a Gran Gran plan and a little bit of practice with some sinkers. But who can help Panda when he decides to take a jump in the pool too?
JoJo and Gran Gran notice Charlene working on a special mural for the local street art trail. Charlene will have finished by the afternoon and invites JoJo and Gran Gran back to the big event to celebrate – but there’s lots more art to find before then! JoJo and Gran Gran head to the art gallery where the trail starts. Marie’s worried as the trail leaflets arrived late, so how will people know about the celebration? Gran Gran has a plan - they’ll tell everyone they meet. At the celebration, they're all gathered to see the mural just in time for Charlene’s surprise.
JoJo’s excited to go on her first camping trip with Gran Gran, Cousin Lexi and Uncle Tyrell. It’s JoJo’s first time sleeping outside! JoJo and Lexi help put up the tent and try to decide what they love about camping. After going for a walk through the forest and spotting a stag, they light a fire for dinner with collected wood, before enjoying a campfire tea of soup and yummy toasted marshmallows. After dinner, they get into their sleeping bags to look at all the stars in the sky. The next morning, JoJo decides what she loves most about camping - sleeping outside with the stars.
JoJo has lots of questions about the bin lorries that keep Gran Gran’s street tidy. They go off to join the Nature Club and help Cynthia with a litter pick in the park. With gloves on and litter pickers at the ready, JoJo and her friends set off, collecting litter from around the community garden. But how will they know which recycling bins to use? There are so many to choose from. It’s time for a Gran Gran plan!
When JoJo and Gran Gran visit the library, Terrence is about to launch a new Super Saleem book at a special story event later. Raya, Alfie and JoJo are going to dress up as superheroes. But while Raya and Alfie have already picked their superhero names and decided their superpowers, JoJo still needs to think about hers. Back at home, JoJo tries out her new superhero name before heading back to the library with Gran Gran.
JoJo and Gran Gran are enjoying a Captain Chloe book in the garden. When Captain Chloe finds a treasure chest full of jewels, JoJo notices one looks a bit like Gran Gran’s necklace. Gran Gran explains that her necklace is her special treasure and shows JoJo her jewellery box. A call with Great-Gran Gran inspires JoJo to make her own jewellery.
JoJo and Gran Gran have a relaxing yoga class with Auntie Dee, but JoJo struggles to relax her mind, so Gran Gran takes her on a sensory safari. First, they are off to the park to smell the flowers, before they see Cynthia at the community garden and listen to all the wildlife. Next, they look for things they can feel and see. At the cafe, they both relax with a nice glass of guava juice until Auntie Dee arrives, who comments on how relaxed JoJo seems.
JoJo and Gran Gran are planning on baking a sweet banana loaf for Jared, who’s coming to Gran Gran’s house for dinner. But as they get the ingredients ready, Gran Gran realises the bananas are still green, which means they can’t make a sweet loaf. Great-Gran Gran shares another green recipe – a tomato salad. Maybe there’s another Caribbean dish with unripe bananas that JoJo can make for Jared.
JoJo and Gran Gran are enjoying a canal walk when they meet Ned and Monty, who need some help. Ned’s looking for the lock key, so they can take their canal boat through the lock and along the canal. JoJo decides she and Gran Gran can help with the search – where could the key be? And how can they get moving quickly enough to solve the canal traffic jam that’s building up? It’s time for a Gran Gran plan.

When JoJo and Gran Gran pick up JoJo’s cousin Lexi from school, JoJo wants to learn everything about what Lexi has been doing there. It’s time for a Gran Gran plan – why don’t they play schools when they get home? The cousins turn Gran Gran’s living room into a classroom ready for Lexi to become a teacher. Writing, science, reading, counting, drawing and music – there's lots to learn! Then it’s JoJo’s turn to play teacher, but what can she teach? After all, she’s never been to school. Gran Gran is sure that there’s someone that JoJo knows lots about – now who could that be?
On the way home from Jared’s shop with Gran Gran, JoJo finds out about the signs around them and what they mean. They are everywhere, and they all have a job to do. When they get home, Gran Gran has a plan to help JoJo make some signs of her own – there are even some special ones that they can share with Jared.
JoJo and Gran Gran meet Isaiah and his daddies at the concert hall. They are there to hear a special concert – the orchestra are going to play Captain Chloe music and Isaiah’s daddy Joshua has a special clarinet solo. JoJo loves finding out about the orchestra and can’t wait to hear more of the Captain Chloe musical story. During the interval, they discover that Joshua is bit nervous about his solo.
