徐风收到了海博大学的入学通知书，这所大学曾是他爸爸、妈妈的母校，也是他梦想的名牌大学。在海博大学的一间实验室里，徐风和青梅竹马的伙伴邱雨见到了古教授，至此徐风和邱雨才得知，徐风父母的失踪以及他们神奇地开启了异度空间的过程。为了解救自己的父母，阻止时空崩塌，徐风他们开始了寻找晶石和陀螺战士的艰难历程，他们开动脑筋、消除误会、争分夺秒，不断战胜幽龙长老派来的“魔行者”，最终，在异度空间正义长老莫能长老和古教授的帮助下，徐风、邱雨、董雷、伊电曈、耿焱5位陀螺战士终于找到所有晶石，通过古教授制作的时空转换器，来到深层异度空间并奇迹般完成了“空间归宿”终极陀螺招术，与异度空间魔派的长老幽龙展开终极对决，最后战胜幽龙，解救了徐风的父母，阻止了时空的崩塌，世界的毁灭。也使魔行者魔心变回了心，通过晶石的力量把异度空间回到了原来的样子。
