منيرة (إلهام شاهين) هي سيدة في الأربعينيات من العمر تعيش في منطقة نائية يطلق عليها نزلة الرشيدي وزوجها هو حاكم المنطقة والمسيطر عليها، يتوفى زوجها وتحاول بعد وفاته إعداد ابنها ليحل محل أبيه، لكنها في هذا الأثناء تحكم المنطقة بنفسها حتى تقابل الحب الحقيقي الذي يقلب حياتها رأسًا على عقب.
